A #poem in three parts

Tucked away in a darkened corner,
there stands a closed brown oaken door
that closes off the things of the former,
stuff that seeps deep into the floor.

The door’s blue panes of glass stare back,
bleary with the gathered dust of age,
cataracts made by clocks’ iron track
that leads one way, a moving cage.
