Ah, the classic tale of a coder thinking #SIMD would make their code fly 🚀, only to discover it trips over its own feet 👟. Our hero's memory seems as patchy as their #benchmarks, but fear not, the valuable lesson here is clear: #optimization is just a synonym for #headache. 🤦‍♂️

Here’s another Achy app surprise. I already knew I had fewer migraines during the winter, but it turns out I have fewer headaches as well. Interesting stuff. They’re down about 50% now.

Maybe it’s a seasonal allergy thing for the headaches, too? If only I could go live in Antarctica with the penguins and far away from pollen.

Collecting data is so useful.

I recently discovered a free new app for tracking migraines and headaches called Achy. The description of it says that all your data stays on your phone and is not sold or traded.

Has anyone else tried it?

I’ve been tracking my symptoms in a plain note app, but this could make it easier to spot new trends. 🤔

I’ll try to remember to let you all know what I think of it after a while.

Update: Thanks for all the recommendations folks :MentalHealthFlagHeart: We're going to try out the Bearable Mood & Symptom Tracker and Migraine Buddy - Track&Control.

Hey folks

What non-period-tracking app, tool, or method would you recommend for monitoring things like:

  • Mood / feelings.
  • Pain.
    • Particularly headaches and migraines.
  • Warning signs of migraine.
  • Logging daily meds taken.
  • Motivation.
  • Focus.
  • MH in general.etc.

Trying to work out the best way (other than a written / typed journal) to track what we'd thought were autistic verbal shutdowns and now believe are actually migraines with auras (non-visual).

Boosts welcome :BoostsOKPrideSymbol:

Migraine is the third most common disease.

It is under-researched despite affecting about a billion people because most of us are women.

This article operates from the assumption that all #migraine attacks have a #headache. That is false. Those of us with migraine with aura but no headache would also like relief. And acknowledgement.
