It's time for Europeans, especially the UK, to stop tiptoeing through the tulips with the current US administration. According to them, we’re just freeloaders (check Pete Hegseth’s comments). Trump’s state visit to meet the King? It feels like we're appeasing a tyrant, just like we did with Hitler. That was a huge mistake then, and it’s a huge mistake now. This US administration is the worst kind of ignorant bully, and yet we keep tiptoeing through the bloody tulips like nothing’s wrong.
Things won’t improve on their own. Gaza and Ukraine are abandoned while Trump rants on, and we need to wake up – fast. Our government must stop pussyfooting around and take a strong stance. No more appeasement. We need to fight fascism, and we must be seen doing it. First step: Ban the state visit.
Democrats are touted as the ‘woke’ party which is ironic because they’re pretty much sound asleep when it comes to seeing and fighting against what Trump has been doing to the foundations of government and the rule of law.
