2/ ...and it just so happens that #PaloAlto released a long investigation into a newer and less well known North Korean crypto operation called "Slow Pisces" and/or "Jade Sleet" at the same time.
This time the #DRPK's crypto thieves pose as recruiters on LinkedIn and try to lure developers into doing various coding challenges hosted on #GitHub as part of a job interview. Doing a challenge leads to infection with custom Python #malware.

Just finished reading Palo Alto: A History of California, Capitalism, and the World by Malcolm Harris. I'm almost overwhelmed. I have a lot of thoughts to sort out, but I feel this is a defining text of U.S. history (and world history, given our reckless foreign policy), right up there with Robert Caro's The Power Broker in explaining why the U.S. is the way it is.

Jill Tucker: Palo Alto flip-flops on ethnic studies
"The Palo Alto school district went on an emotional roller-coaster ride over ethnic studies this past week. Administrators first rejected a state mandate to add the course as a graduation requirement — a win for critics of the class — and then days later a contentious five-hour public meeting ended with the school board pushing the mandate through."
