@DieterKomendera Es muss an allen Reglern geschraubt werden. Vor allem muss sich das Mobilitätsverhalten verändern. Sowohl Autobahnen aber auch U-Bahnen motivieren nicht dazu, verkehrsvermeidend zu planen und zu leben. Die U-Bahn ist auch nicht so umweltfreundlich, wie uns die Wiener Linien weis machen wollen. Es dauert zumindest Jahrzehnte, bis sie sich ökologisch amortisiert haben. Statt sie weiterhin auszubauen, sollte Wien auf das Konzept »Stadt der kurzen Wege« setzen.

The Toledo station, designed by Spanish architect Oscar Tusquets Blanca, is considered the crowning jewel of the "Art Stations" of the Naples Metro. It was opened on September 17, 2012 on line 1 of the Naples metro, as part of a large-scale project to enrich the urban environment with contemporary art.

Vertical look-up view of a set of three very long escalators beneath a gorgeous ceiling mosaic painted in a psychedelic swirl of violet-blue. The Walls are also covered with thousands of blue mosaic tiles and give the feeling of being immersed in the sea. The escalators are surrounded by a huge cone of light that extends from the top to bottom of the station and bathes the space in a surreal blue light at this very moment (the color of this light cone is overwise changing constantly from purple to blue and green every fews seconds). The floor is also blue. The escalators where free of people when the photographer took the shot. The escalator on the right was unfortunately out of order on that day and access to it was prevented with a mobile yellow plastic fence.
This second photo also features the same escalators as in the first picture and includes more background elements around it as it was taken from further behind and in an horizontal way, Some stairs going down to a platform with a round window in the wall above them and darker blue mosaics is visible on the left. On the right of the image, there is an elevator. This time a few colourful silhouettes of people are visible in the escalators.
This third photo was taken from even further behind and includes an impressive pillar also covered in mosaic and looking similar to a water fountain on the left of the image in the foreground. There is also a metal pole with entry and exits signs in italian. This time too, a few people are visible in the escalators area.

Fishing For Moments
Beim Blick durch einen Durchgang zur anderen Bahnsteigseite in der U-Bahnstation Hauptbahnhof Süd in #Hamburg traute ich meinen Augen kaum. Die Frau stand mit dem Rücken zu mir, fast perfekt mittig zum Torbogen, die Farbe des Mantels passend zu den Fliesen des Durchgangs. Und dann lief auch noch die Taube ins Bild. Und ich erwischte diese dann auch noch in einem Moment mit überkreuzten Beinen – passend zu denen der Frau. Perfekt für den #FotoMontag!

I could hardly believe my eyes when I looked through a passageway to the other side of the platform in the Hauptbahnhof Süd subway station in Hamburg. The woman was standing with her back to me, almost perfectly centered to the archway, the color of her coat matching that of the tiles of the passageway. And then this pigeon ran into the picture. And I caught it at a moment with its legs crossed - just like the woman's legs. Perfect for #PhotoMonday!
