Was habt ihr denn jetzt mit #godaddy und #hosteurope? Hosteurope ist seit 2016 eine Tochter des US Unternehmens und bedeutet das die Mails theoretisch gelesen werden können nach amerikanischem Recht. #unplugtrump
Since #HostEurope moves our email to MS servers, I'm finally moving my 4 email domains to my own server. Two are already done, they were easy as I only used aliases. One contains my main mailbox, that will be a bit more involved and the other contains my mums mailbox. That one will be the hardest 
Thanks for giving me the push to finally move away HostEurope. I'll probably migrate the domains soon as well, I can pay a fraction for all the .de domains.
Jetzt wo #HostEurope auf einmal sämtliche Kunden-Emails zu #Office365 entführen will - zu welchem Provider möchte man denn ein kleines Hostingpaket umziehen, wo es nicht in einem halben Jahr genau so losgeht und die Daten (illegal?) aus unserer Rechtssprechung herausgezogen werden?

Bis Anfang Mai ist noch Zeit, #Hosteurope und #Domainfactory zu verlassen und einen Provider zu suchen, der einen nicht auf kostenpflichtige #MS365-Konten zwingt.

Ist ja nicht so, dass es mit OpenExchange eine freie europäische Alternative zu M$365 gäbe

Wenn ich mal zusammenfassen darf: Mail war das einzige was bei denen noch funktioniert hat. Ich habe da einen Webserver als Nextcloud-Dateiablage mit ca 70 Mailkonten, für die ich zukünftig je Konto einen Euro bezahlen soll.

#HostEurope hat heute eine Zwangsmigration aller E-Mail-Postfächer nach Microsoft 365 angekündig, die dann pro Postfach auch noch 1€/Monat kosten soll. 
Ziehe gerade ein Backup und transferiere meine Domains zu einem anderen Hoster...

@fundraiser Die Umstellung ist ab Anfang Mai angekündigt, damit ergibt sich ein klares Zeitfenster für die Migration.
Beeindruckend, wie sehr man die Zeichen der Zeit missdeuten kann, *jetzt* eine Migration *hin* zu einem US-amerikanischen Anbieter in einem sensiblen Thema wie E-Mail kurzfristig anzuberaumen.
HostEurope, a formerly European web and e-mail hosting provider acquired by GoDaddy in 2016, just informed its customers that it will move their IMAP folders and everything e-mail to Microsoft's MS365 offer.
This move does not only incur additional fees for many customers – it also raises privacy concerns.
We recommend you empty all of your IMAP folders now and move your e-mail (domains) to one of the trustworthy e-mail services listed here: https://switching.software/replace/gmail/
Trademarks used by HostEurope Group include 123-reg, Webfusion, Heart Internet, BrandFortress, Host Europe, Domainbox, Domainmonster, Domainfactory, DonHost, Sign-Up.to, velia.net and RedCoruna. Their users might also be affected.

So ein Dreck! HostEurope migriert in den nächsten Monaten zwangsweise alle E-Mail-Konten zu Microsoft 365 mit künftig je einem eigenen Vertrag.
Da werde ich wohl meine Webpräsenz von HostEurope zu einem anderen Provider umziehen.
#Hosteurope will bei meinem Hostingpaket die eMails abkoppeln, in MS365 überführen und pro eMail-Konto separat abkassieren. Möchte ich nicht.
Wohin kann man sinnvoll wechseln? Ich habe dort 2 Domains mit insgesamt 4 Postfächern und bei Strato 4 Domains mit ~5 Postfächern.
Irgendwelche Tipps? Der Webanteil kann eigentlich sehr basic sein, kein großes Volumen, was da drüber läuft.
