Brief trip to old stomping grounds, giving me ample opportunity to enjoy #graffiti.

The ghosts are likely all by an artist called Ande (Swedish: ghost, spirit). You can find many more pictures of their graffiti and more information in German here:

The other five pictures are organised as quadratic tiles at the bottom and to the right of the bigger picture. Bottom left is a blue ghost with eyes and mouth wide open in shock; middle bottom picture, a black stencil graffiti of a group of kids sitting on a curb; bottom right, a pink ghost lying on the floor and being afraid; right middle picture a graffiti of a green ghost whose mouth is open and looks a bit like that of a crocodile; top a greenish-yellow stencil graffiti of a spray can with a tomato on it and the print "Dosenfutter since 1999 100% fresh" (food from a tin can since 1999 100% fresh). The ghosts are likely all from the Lüneburg sprayer "Ande" (swedish for "ghost")

Scenes from a long weekend spent in Washington, DC and Georgetown in the District of Columbia. (4 photos attached)

There was:
Cherry blossoms galore!
Smithsonian Institute Museum visits (free, for now)!
Walking along The Mall and visiting important monuments!
Adorable townhouses and shops in Georgetown!

My husband acting like a cherry tree gnome, as he peeks around the corner of an old gnarled tree in full pinky bloom.

At the Renwick Gallery (part of the Smithsonian Institutes): A sign above a doorway stating "We Gather at the Edge: Contemporary Quilts By Black Women Artists". This was a fantastic exhibit!

A view of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial on The Mall. This is an enormous sculpture--very imposing and very impressive of a Giant of a Man.

A view of a street in Georgetown, DC that is lined with connected townhouses. These townhouses were 2-3 stories above ground, and with different styles and colors to the exterior. It is an incredibly charming area and delightful to walk around.

: Останні три роки я спостерігаю цей вид з вікна університету. Іноді небоскреби зникають у тумані, іноді - в сніговій мряці. Бувають дні з кришталево прозорим небом і вечори, коли місто виглядає майже гостинно.
Залишився ще місяць - і далі суцільна невідомість. Колись я думала, що випуск принесе мені щось на кшталт ейфорії: впевненість у собі, натхнення, нові мрії. А зараз - закінчу і добре. Може, хоч висплюся.
