@avoca @a10n @Cnoceda #deltachat is geared towards private group chats. In small groups technical moderation is not so important. A subset of people can always create another chat simply and continue there. Technical admins can only help so much. Maybe it's even the admin that is the problem?
There are >100 people chats e.g. from #38c3 or #fossdem25 that work quite fine. But YMMV
If you want Telegram-style channels with public subscription, then yes, some administration is needed.

We are the work group "Signalspielplatz" ('signal playground') from Northern Germany.
We brought our first prototype of a DIY POCSAG pager and transmitter to #38c3, where we took the opportunity to test the setup under congress conditions, as well as present the pager (link down below).
Our next step will be to test an improved prototype at EasterHegg 22. More updates and a website coming soon, so follow us to stay informed.

Der Talk auf dem #38c3 ist mehr oder weniger nur eine Remix-Compilation von Oldies und Evergreens und eigentlich nur 1 1/2 neuen Lücke, der bei VSDM. Wir nehmen mal den SMC-B Gebrauchtmarkt als halbe neue Lücke.
Aber auch die VSDM Lücke ist nicht neu, die kannte die gematik selbst, das gibt sie auch zu.
Also alles schon mal benannt, schon mal vorgekommen.
Lediglich die Kombination ist neu.
Aber die Kombination von Angriffsvektoren und Lücken ist im Cyberbereich ja täglich zu sehen.
