PREMIERE: The Barlow put the outlaw in country with "It Ain't Mine," a quietly confident and subtly desperate rocker
Trying very hard here never to upload to Youtube again. All part of Degoogling one's life! I've had approval from the drummer and the singer of Le Beat Group Electronique to upload bootlegs of their pub gigs starting from the 1980s. So for any oldschoolers who like foot-taping pub rock, do check it out on Makertube...

Esta semana Doña Flora nos echa flores y no nos da collejas. Albricias!. Por lo demás...del mejor punk a bellas voces femeninas.

New #review today: "#Unicorn was a British soft #CountryRock band that was active from 1967 to 1978. This #ThinkLikeAKey retrospective album comprises Unicorn’s first and last recordings. All 22 tracks have been lovingly remastered by Prof. Stoned." #ExposeOnline http://expose.org/index.php/articles/display/unicorn-shed-no-tear-the-early-late-unicorn-6.html
To make it through watching most of a 24 hour race, you gotta know how to take a semi-break from time to time like hitting the mute button to listen to some music while watching the racing action. Currently got The Band (Brown Album) by The Band cued up on YouTube Music as I stay transfixed by sports cars on the high banks.

Yesterday @TheVinylApe (you should follow him for more interesting vinyl news!) mentioned this album. I don't have this album on #vinyl, only on cd. The only version available is way to expensive for me. But it's a really good album on which Neil plays with members of Pearl Jam.
I'm in a somewhat weird but not terrible place this morning mentally, but do not think choosing to listen to the classic #cosmiccountry album Magnetic South by Michael Nesmith and the First National Band was a bad call at all to start my day.
People who only know him as Mike of the Monkees are missing out on the best stuff he wrote with the First National Band.
INTERVIEW: SAVNT of Ghost Hounds checked in to tell us about the band's explosive rise to fame, arena tours, staying grounded, and their epic new single "You'll Never Find Me"
INTERVIEW: Dani Rose writes searing songs that are as hilarious as they are caustic. Rose talks how she approaches songwriting, the road, and builds community with people who don't mind standing out
I'm lecturing on basic genre understanding on Tueday morning. I'm going to open with this marvellous showpiece perfomance. Enjoy.

Musical Interlude: I heard this song a very long time ago, and it got under my skin immediately. It's got a great feeling of being on a long road trip, and tells the story of the narrator being drawn to a random stranger they meet at a gas station, and feeling a certain companionship.
"Six Miles to McKinney," performed by Claire Holley.
