Gundis are the size of a guinea pig and live in Northern Africa (and tiny zoos close to Magdeburg). They are also called comb rats, because the two hind feet have comb-like bristles between the claws. I didn't see the bristles, because this handsome gundi was chilling on the log, but the #whiskers are #cute too

Atlas is interested in the new thing. Especially since there seems to be treats involved! Though not so early this morning!

Picture is of the cute little stopper paw to lock it and stop it from turning.

Showing one end of the wheel where a wooden paddle like piece in the shape of a paw is flat against the end, secured by a small black finger screw and juts up into a small oblong hole in one of the panels of the wheel. The wheel is sitting on a small blue and white patterned rug on a brown fir wood floor. Along the left edge of the picture is the fluffy edges of a tall tail of a tabby cat.

Looking down at Atlas sitting patiently on the floor waiting for me to do something. He is between me and the end of the wheel which now has the lock paw loosened and dropping down. There is a small black backpack

GUUYYYSSS. We got the floofs a late Christmas present… it’s their BIGGEST PRESENT EVER!!
