My cat was named Easter when we adopted her. Well, she adopted us. She was a stray who came with the house. She was named Easter because she apparently arrived one Easter morning like 8 years ago. For the first 4 years I lived here, she was my companion every morning. I had breakfast, often with her in my lap. I renamed her Esther because I liked it better. She doesn’t look friendly or happy. But she was sweet and cuddly. She never meowed. But she could purr.

When you have a #cat and you look at your phone full of pictures you think “I have too many pictures!” And then when they’re gone you think “Why didn’t I take more pictures?!” 🥲

I sorta think of Easter weekend as her birthday. The flowers were blooming so I put some out for her.

Last night I underwent a home sleep study for possible sleep apnea. I strapped myself up with lots of gear: around my chest, in my nose, over my ears, dangling in front of my mouth, oxygen meter on my finger, and more. Oh, and medical tape on my face to keep things stable.

call me blake.
i'm not new to fediverse (been here for years, in fact!), so spare yourselves the tutorials on it.

i'm just trying to make do here. and for reasons undisclosed i'm rather secretive about my flesh realm and whereabouts

most of my days i spend recovering my health, playing some games and watching DYKG trivia.

perhaps you can say bayonetta is one of my fave games. but i didn't really beat it yet.

also, i want to pick up drawing again at some point, i did that in the past.

most of my posts will be either musing about my recovery and identity crafting (broad mh/ph disclaimer), random slice of life posts and shitposts to distract me and others who go through shit.

consider the tags a sort of list of interests and subjects discussed.

note i will vet followers before accepting follow requests. very heavily advised to not follow if under 18.

Today's art experiments with plant ink. Our orange cat Baby Bear discovers there are more like him ..

We mixed the crushed petals (roses, dandelions, irises) with lemon juice, and the colors are more vibrant than with white vinegar or (boiled) water. Will see how it looks when it dries. It seems a lot of plant-derived pigments turn brown on us in a day! Which makes the walnut ink ol' reliable.
