If you have the time use something to clean up the SFX at the end when the wookies are spiritually gathering together, give them some kind of ethereal bridges to be walking on which would also hide the stage sfx errors

and generally just do a tighter edit and that should get you down to a 48m made-for-TV hour.

i am like this close > < to actually trying this bullshit just to see what happens

why is my brain like this

i think i figured out how to re-edit the Star Wars Holiday Special to make it... not good, gods know, but... tolerable

hear me out

(or don't)

but the key part is:

you switch the two musical numbers.

grampa wookie gets his horrible classic rock (and in VR so nobody else has to listen to it)

the stormtrooper that trader guy is trying to distract gets the disco pr0n.

creepiness factor drops like a rock because if you're gonna distract a stormtrooper pr0n seems like a pretty good idea

and the trader guy is way smarter. all the fumbling is him changing the software for pr0n.

next cut harvey korman down to a cameo, centre the boba fett cartoon, and cut it to like an hour

Picked up and read comments in order for #Chewbaccadon of the #StarWarsHolidaySpecial tonight.

For me, the animation bit was great, the Bea Arthur bit I appreciate so much more now that I've seen a lot of musicals.

It looked like everyone was doing the best of their abilities at the time of the material they had.

This was basically a bad variety show. There were plenty of them in the 1970s. There's a reason you don't really see blu-rays for them.

Happy Life Day!
