My 25 years of palaeoart chronology...

In 2022 I worked with McIlroy et al on a new description of Haootia (Stauroza), from the Late Ediacaran (550 Ma). The Haootia fossils from Newfoundland, Canada, have the oldest known evidence for animal muscle tissue. Also in this picture is a reclining Charnia and Parviscopa.

Reconstructing Wufengella for Guo et et al (2022). From the Early Cambrian, Wufengella is evolutionarily important because it is close to the ancestry of Brachiozoa, Bryozoa, and Phoronida. It is from the Chiungchussu Formation, China.

We're looking for an Invertebrate Zoologist (palaeontologist) to come work with us at University of Reading! There's a potential to take on the curation of the Cole Museum of Zoology so museum experience would be a plus.
