Plain Text Kanban Board

You do not need a lot of fancy tools or subscription services to apply Kanban in your personal or professional life. Honestly, you do not even need a dedicated tool. You can create an easy Kanban workflow with default computing tools.

As a result of the online safety bill, Libre.fm now has some terms and conditions and a privacy policy explicitly stated for the first time.

Have a read and let me know what you think. Trying to keep it as simple as possible as we don’t do all that much and I like that.

Big thanks to @neil whose excellent website onlinesafetyact.co.uk is worth a read.

A new law comes into effect in the UK today, where Libre.fm is hosted. It’s called the Online Safety Act. Neil Brown has done an excellent job with pointing out what this means on https://onlinesaf...

#introduction

Hello! My name's Aevisia & I'm working hard on a marketing campaign to help bring the #smallweb / #indieweb movement to mainstream.

This is a movement I've been part of for a little over two years now & have become really passionate about it. I have a bit of education in #socialmedia #marketing & #business I really want to use to help benefit this movement.

I'll be sharing fun posts daily. Please consider sharing to help these posts reach more people. Thanks for your help! ♥

Ok, so Intuit keep putting prices up for their Quickbooks software and I'm going to look for an alternative moving into the 2025/26 tax year.

My needs are tracking sales and expenses, invoicing, multi currency, and yearly reports.

They have recently increased my monthly cost from £33 to £39 and for how much use I make of it, I'm thinking there muse be more cost effective options out there.

"I once shared extensively on social media, but the platforms have evolved. They now discourage sharing links that direct users to external sites. In response, I’ve returned to a more traditional approach." #Indieweb werd.io/2025/my-new-daily-blog

Werd I/OMy (New) Daily Bloghttps://om.co/2025/03/16/my-new-daily-blog/ [Om Malik]This is an ongoing trend. Om Malik has now moved to sharing on his blog first rather than posting directly to social media: "The

help #indieweb people, I'm fiddling with adding different bits to my site and I am clearly missing something with the h-feed thing. If you're bored later I would appreciate it if you took a look.

Taking my online stuff, offline! Recently made a tag on my blog called, Syndicate. All the stuff I wanna syndicate, I just tag it and IFTTT will create an email to a few newspaper editors in my local area and I am Amazed at how many opinion stuff was bought this way. Of course, all the hyperlinks and stuff are stripped, but I wrote these in such a way it makes sense to an offline reader. And plus, new audiences, and if people really wanna see the extra stuff they can just visit my website. #IndieWeb

Just renewed the Libre.fm domain name for another year.

Thank you to everyone who donated in the last year and a big thank you to the people who have a recurring donation.

libre.fm/donate.php if anyone wants to chip in.

The main costs right now are a domain name and offsite backups for the data.

Right now our hosting costs are basically $0 but I am looking at getting a pair of dedicated servers to improve performance and that’s going to cost $100 a month or so.

New on #WellMadeWeb: Light From A Dead Star.

The musical fansite is an old genre, and still it lingers in an underground of its own. Light From A Dead Star is such a site dedicated to Lush, the British shoegaze pioneers. The website hosts a trove of resources - hundreds of interviews and thousands of photos - compiled from magazines and press releases during the band's heyday in the early to mid 90s.

Speaking of blogs, you probably don't need me to tell you but if you don't have The Virtual Moose in your RSS reader then you are missing OUT. I have no idea how @MichaelKlamerus has the time and energy to do all these excellent round-up posts but they are EXCELLENT. Please check their blog out (and consider making your own blog and sending me the link so I can add you to my RSS reader too 👀)
