Another day, another cat. 🤍

I’ve experienced a lot of anxiety today. Then there have been cozy moments sprinkled in: a rainy day, working at a coffee shop this morning, and watercolor this evening.

Life consists of a mix of both and. The challenging and the good exist at the same time. We don’t have to deny one to experience the other. Instead, we can accept the full range of human emotion.

🤍

This is my Jameela Jamil appreciation post.

She’s a rare human being. Someone in power, with money, and uses that platform for good instead of taking advantage of her power. She’s also fun, cussy, and witty. And she’s committed to inclusivity. Her work brings me joy.

She’s stunningly gorgeous, too. But she’s humble about it and encourages women to shine as they are.

There are some gems in the X-Files. But this line captivated me.

It’s pretty Zen in the matter of reality.

We humans perceive and search and define. But what is, simply is. It’s okay that we don’t have an answer for everything.

Let our curiosity drive us, knowing there’s no finish line or absolutes.

Why are we so afraid of dying? I mean, if I die tonight, does it really matter?

Is it simply because death is a mystery? Or is it that we feel life is too precious to let go?

What if life is the worst, and death is precious?

I think it’s because even with all the suffering, we enjoy the experience. Sugar, love, music, sex, flowers, rain…maybe we’ll miss it. Or maybe our consciousness ends.

I know I’m not afraid to die.
