Eigentlich wollte ich "nur eben schnell" (Ha, ha.) endlich die Einreichung für einen Upcycling-Workshop mit Patchwork (#EPP, #Slowstitching) für den #CFC24 der @haecksen schreiben und dann nahm mein Gehirn eine komisch Abzweigung und ich überlege, ob ich mich an einen Vortrag (in dem Rahmen noch nie gemacht) mit dem Arbeitstitel "I craft, so I don't kill people" heranwagen soll.
Gäbe es Interesse an sowas? Wäre über meine persönlichen Erfahrungen, Hilfsmittel/Settings/Tipps, um mit Handarbeiten Anxiety im Angesicht der Dystopie, in der wir gerade Leben, runter zu bringen.
Würde mich über euer sehr zeitnahes Feedback freuen, da Einreichungen nur heute noch möglich.

Nothing fancy and full of mistakes - but I'm proud (sort of) of it and my non-binary child is now sleeping the first night blissfully under it's rainbow quilt.
And: One big project that really is finished! Yay! Take this ADHD! 😅

My work for the next days: Sewing this flowers and butterflies (there ist batting underneath each, glued with textile glue) with ladder stitch all around the edges on the bought pillow case (80 x 80 cm). After this it is quilting time. 🧵
(Not everything is my colour palette/pattern, but it's especially requested by my kid. I sew a relatively simple quilt blanket out of big blocks in rainbow colours last year for my child and will also appliqué butterflies and my beloved rainbow-flowers on this.)

Teilausschnitt vom Sofakissen passend zu meiner Decke. Übe noch das Quilten. Bei den Kissen ist die Rückseite nicht wichtig, sieht man ja später nicht. Es ist noch nicht so, wie ich es gern hätte. Dabei streiche ich immer artig von der Mitte heraus.

First try at DIY-needle minder out of UV Epoxy Resin, 2 magnets, some key charms and a little bit glitter.
It's lightweight enough to use it on embroidery or during the sewing of bigger EPP-projects. I really like it and will do some more in the future.

(I used a form for a pendant, need something without a hole for a string.. tried to close, but obviously failed)

My thanks goes to @ulktante@troet.cafe - hadn't she used a bought (and really beautiful!) needle minder during our online meeting of #VersponnenerSalon last month, I wouldn't have known that something so useful exists! 😅😘

It has been a while, but in between other projects (and Life™), I have continued sewing these tiny hexies.

Still no idea what I will create, but it is becoming a bit of a drag ...

So I decided to stop where I am at, and I will use the remaining hexies for other projects, possibly appliqued little flowers on Things®.

I am really happy that this first EPP project has given me the miles and education to pick up smaller EPP work without hesitation.

Due to illness I hadn't enough spoons to do much, but I did a few stitches on my ongoing quilting project in the last days (nearly finished pillow case) and a christmas embroidery I just started a few days before christmas '24. I bought it a ~5 years ago and forgot the embroidery kit. I also bought a new, small embroidery kit because of all the spring feelz. 😅 (But i don't understand what this printed fleece does, or this ballpoint refill?).

Anyway, I will have to learn how to do bouillon embroidery fot this project. Looking forward fot this! 😍 Also: small Doodle I made with a new pen I bought for my kid.
