Monster in a Teacup
Humans aren't the only ones who enjoy a spot of tea now and again. Little monsters have been know to slip quietly into kitchens when no one is around and sneak a sip of two of freshly brewed sweetness. Alas, some of these tiny creatures may become so enamored with the tea, that they sip themselves silly and fall into a state of euphoria, causing all manner of behavior.

I know this is kind of a longshot questions

But I have a pattern that says to use DK weight but to double-strand it

setting aside that literally all yarn is different, even within categories, what would be a rough equivalent to use as a single strand?

background: I have some chunky yarn I'd like to use in its stead. All else fails I'll just do a swatch and see what happens
