Back in Brooklyn now. On my way back, I stopped at my alma mater- Alfred University in a rural one stoplight town of Alfred, NY.

Nice to see my old sculpture and art school building haunts. While I was there I saw a bunch of old and new professors, sat in on 2 student critiques, and met with a promising young neon bender, artist and glassblower,

@AbbeyfuckingDivens

and chatted a bunch with my former neon teacher, Sarah Blood.

The roll of paper next to the neon bombarder in the neon shop is the "high tech temperature guage". Long a controversial practice in neon nerddom, when the paper smokes and discolors- the glass is hot. I aim for incinerating the paper :).

Exciting things to see at the school as per usual- an its nice to be back home. About to head back in to work as I type this.

The effort by a number of #universities to create a mutual defense compact is a good start, but y’all *need* to involve #sports. Collectively agree to cancel all of your #college #basketball, #football, #baseball, and #soccer games until the #Trump administration stops attacking universities.

Fuck up the sports and MAGAts *will* start caring.

#College students see F-1 visas canceled in new #Trump tactic

« …school officials say the govt is quietly deleting foreign student records instead of going thru colleges, as done in the past.

Students are being ordered to leave the country with a suddenness that universities have rarely seen.

In the past, when int’l students had entry visas revoked, they could keep legal residency. »

This year, our program includes discussions on Indigenous perspectives and Institutional food system alternatives with a tour of the George Brown Campus Chef School and gardens, complete with a lunch made by student chefs. We also invite participants to engage in a poster session and mentor chats with established scholars and community leaders.
