Absolute world class performance from teenager Jakub Mensik to beat Novak Djokovic in two tough straight set tiebreakers. Mensik (19) is the highest ranked (54) teenager in the world for good reasons and proved his increasing quality. Surely a future top-10 player.

Djokovic misses out on his 100th career title and looked ragged doing it. His draw was not that tough based on quality and H2H matchups and I think he was lucky to be there. His fitness and movement looked maxxed out. Can’t see him winning another 1000, let alone a Slam. He can play at a high level against the youngsters for two sets but that’s about it now imho #tennis

Philippine wildcard Alexandra Eala pulled off the biggest win of her young career with a stunning 6-2, 7-5 upset of Polish world number two Iga Swiatek on Wednesday to extend her dream Miami Open run into the semifinals. japantimes.co.jp/sports/2025/0 #tennis #alexandraeala #igaswiatek #miamiopen #arthurfils #alexanderzverev

The Japan Times · Philippine wildcard Eala stuns Swiatek to reach Miami semisBy Frank Pingue

Watching the Miami Open #tennis off and on and this match Korda - Monfils is ridiculous. First the crew couldn’t figure out how to mute the glare from some rails. And just now it took 15 minutes for the crew to figure out how to turn the lights on .

Update- paused for medical time out, then immediately paused for rain. This match will never end

Update- resumed play only to stop two minutes later due to heavy rain. The neverending match.

Update- after a 3 hour rain delay they all come back to the court, only to have to wait again. It’s drizzling.
The match will never end.

Update- they are all testing the court to see if it’s dry. The girl running the drying machine keeps going back and forth. (Wondering why they dont tarp the court!!)Still waiting. This match began at 11 am

Final update - they resumed play. 15 minutes later, Korda won. Jeezaloo!!!!
