10/ If one looks closely, one can see that actually two slightly different AR-924 #pagers are shown: the newer one from 2022-10-10 gained small nubs on the buttons. My guess (see below) is that they are status LEDs.
So, whoever built them created multiple revisions.
A small #OSINT thread about the AR-924 #pagers of which thousands exploded in Lebanon a week ago.
tl;dr: a custom design that includes a peculiar Li-ion battery.
Note: as far as I know, there is no evidence that other pager models have exploded, too.

On X this video is circulating. It's traces of rockets fired from Lebanon to Israel, but they turn back to the place they was launched from. New hack by Israel? After Hezbollah is already humiliated to the bones, this would be too funny if after pagers, radios and solar panels their own rockets fly at them.
Some claim it's Iron Dome, but confirmed Iron Dome launches are looking a little different. I have not seen it covered by other news, but I am very curious to find out what's really behind it.

Rather than a specific suspicion of the #pagers, the checks had been part of a routine "sweep" of its equipment, including communications devices, to find any indications that they were laced w/explosives or surveillance mechanisms.

In a coordinated attack the Gold Apollo branded #pagers detonated on Tues across #Hezbollah's strongholds of south #Lebanon, Beirut's suburbs & the eastern Bekaa valley. Up to 3 grams of explosives hidden in the pagers had gone undetected for months by Hezbollah.
One of the #security sources said it was very hard to detect the explosives "with any device or scanner." The source did not specify what type of scanners Hezbollah had run the pagers through.
