Had some interesting dream
I was in some classroom or lectures room among other people, and it was some seminary-like institution. I can't recall exact lecture details but sure that lecture was about Perun (!)

Just finished this little project: a wooden pendant made from Elder Wood (from my backyard!) with the Ogham sign for Elder burned into it.
Maybe something for #witch #pagan #neurodivergent cc @actuallyautistic @actuallyadhd ?

#Pagan Voices: #Reactions to the #2024 #US #Presidential #Election

..."Below are some responses shared with The Wild Hunt, perspectives from prominent leaders in the Pagan community to new members.

I was “nauseously optimistic” going into Tuesday night’s election results but was shocked when my own previously reliably blue county went red as well. My heart is broken for all of us whose lives are, in one way or another, now so definitively o"...
What is paganism for you and what it means to be pagan? I'm not looking for right or wrong answer, I'm truly curious to find pagan definition of paganism today. If not a strict definition, than thoughts and feelings of those who proudly, quietly or just in their thoughts call themselves pagan or are trying to find the path to paganism. Can we talk about this?
It's serving pagan gods for one, celebrating the Earth's relationship to the Sun and celestial bodies to another. It's seeking wisdom of ancestors for one and connection to and taking care of Nature around for another one. It's fitting in and belonging to one and all of the above (and more) for another one of us.
What it means to be pagan for you? What is paganism from your perspective?
This is your weekly reminder that authors (like me!) are small businesses, and we really appreciate your support.
Up this week: Ancient Spellcraft. This is the 2nd edition of my very first book, originally published way back in 2001. Be sure to get the new edition with Morgan Le Fay on the cover!

Literature puzzle to solve
What if (at least some) modern knowledge about the world would be represented as fairy tales, e. g. with some aspects of Slavic, e. g. Ukrainian or Polish folklore taken into account, how they written?

Colossal Biosciences claims to have revived the dire wolf, but experts argue the result is more marketing than resurrection—a genetically modified gray wolf dressed in Ice Age myth and hype. Sadly, we’ll still need asteroids.

I've been here and there while travelling through social media in my craftroom, with all my dolls, one feet in the garden and the other one in the woods. Landed here a few days ago with a bit of doubt, but with curiosity (and probably hope deep down in disbelieving heart). I've landed in a whole new world.
Over the years online I've been gradually surrounded by more and more witches - our interests meet at some point. All kinds of witches. Interesting, weird, funny, smart, woo-woo, enchanting, theatrical, mesmerizing, highly educated, intuitive, helpful, friendly, dominating, almost aetheric and almost too serious, some deeply grounded, some flying high on their brooms, some just playing around and others just growing their wings. Readers, forest dwellers, potion brewers, shop keepers, snake oil sellers, tea spillers, servants of many different gods, researchers, crafters, bards, book keepers, story tellers, and so on. I could write a love song to all of them.
Here it feels like I'm finding the kind I feel in my bones. The ones with pebbles and sticks in their pockets. Those who form relationships with their surroundings. Those who observe. Those who care. Those who listen to slight changes in the air. Those who don't put up a show for others, but practice what they preach. Those who don't stand in ceremonial dresses (oh, I love the confidence of a ceremonial dress, I just don't have one), but sit with plants on their kness planting, replanting, checking, harvesting, silently communicating. Those who put heart, thought and good intention into their crafts. Those who read nature as a metaphor. Those who learn. Often they don't even call themselves witches or wear a badge. Often without scripts, special tools or complicated rituals. You are my kind of witches, even if you don't call yourself witches. Why haven't we met online before?
The urge to share myself with you is strong.
Just that you know, I use the word 'witch' as a compliment, and witch certainly is my favorite archetype.
If you see yourself in anything I described, please, let me find you! We share a path. I would love to know you.
This week's Minoan Tarot cards:
Four of Horns: Respect and value the material foundations of your life, but hold your material possessions loosely, keeping them in perspective. Don't be seduced or distracted by physical things when other aspects of life may be more important.
Balance: Avoid extremes. Find balance in your life, a sense of moderation, balance between work and play, exercise and rest. This is an ongoing process, not a one-time thing.
This deck is my creation. Details and many more card pix at https://www.minoantarot.com/
I think I want to tryout #lemmy but my lil' buddy @stux doesn't have an instance. Into #tech, #linux, #foss, #norwegian content would be nice, #pagan. Y'all know what a freak-show I am. Suggestions for a NON-FASCHI instance? #fediverse
I think we should collectively do this for the horrors of #uspoli and the world.

Three Paths in the Night
I carry, within,
strange chants, hidden in midnight
mist-shrouded woodland;
do not disturb these dark dreams,
unless howling hounds call you

Why is it in shows as soon as a human sacrifice comes up, they say it's a #Pagan sacrifice to their Gods? Of all the Pagans I know, they're much nicer more than other religions I've come across. So why? Why do we get the mudled and dark stuff pointed at us?!
It's Freyasday, here's your #FridayPaganPoll:
The concept of a "year and a day" study to convert to paganism was started by the Wiccans as a way for initiates to experience each holiday in the Wheel of the Year before becoming official. Now, many other pagans do the same thing to build experience with the lunar and solar cycles, either on their own or in a group.
Did you undertake a "year and a day" or similar study?
Hi! I just joined, and while I figure this out, let me tell you a bit about me.
I'm a maker of dolls inspired by nature, folklore, labyrints of myth, mind and magic. My dolls are mostly witches, and when they leave my home, they often become altar dolls. It's been a weird and interesting journey of doll making for the past 7 years, 600+ dolls now live in homes and collections around the world.
Besides crafting dolls I'm into permaculture, paganism, self-sufficiency, foraging and neverending self-development. I'm a forest dweller, mushroom hunter, food grower and herb lover deep in the countryside in Latvia (North-Eastern Europe). All of that I might occasionally share here. I would love to connect with like-minded people, so, if you're here, say 'hi'! I hope you are somewhere here...
