@jfmezei We got about 2cm here, but just to the north of us it was like 15-20cm and whiteout conditions.
Unlike you, I'm OK with this. I'm ready for the part of spring where it doesn't get below -2°C overnight.

As of 09:00, 2 cm more has fallen, giving a seventeen hour total, here, of 21 cm. There have been periods of ice pellets mixed in as well. Thankfully, through all of this, temperatures have been cool enough to keep the snow-to-liquid ratio (SLR) in the more powdery range, versus denser wet snow. Shovelling effort is light to moderate as a result, with negligible drifting. I'm glad ECCC reissued the snowfall warning. Curious to see the varying final total reports across the city. #mbstorm #mbwx
As of 22:00, 3 cm more since 20:00 has accumulations now at 14 cm @ Wpg-NK. Still lightly falling, with a touch of wind entering the mix. #mbstorm #mbwx
@weatherinthepeg
Have received a surprising, yet, not surprising, 11 cm of snow in the past four hours. This area of the city (NK) was in the heaviest band of this evening's event, even though the snowfall warning was dropped. That appears to have been a somewhat shortsighted decision by ECCC at the 16:00 forecast. Will see how much more falls, especially during the potential round two, tomorrow. #mbstorm #mbwx @weatherinthepeg @buffaloseven
Add 2 cm more overnight, to give an #mbstorm total of 14 cm here. Drifted snow hasn't been too bad of a problem.
Nice to see the sun out, for a change, now.
As of midnight, I'm up to 12 cm for #mbstorm Sunday. It has cooled off somewhat and the snow consistency has begun to become less "wet" and a bit more granular.
Took a little while to brush the accumulations off the vehicle before departing our arena home game.
It was a pretty entertaining one, with back-and-forth action. We came out of it with one point, in an overtime loss. A 5 on 3 we had in the final 2 minutes wasn't our best effort. The boys let their nerves get to them. #junior #hockey
Have, so far, had 5 cm wet snow to 16:00, with 3 cm falling since 14:00, here in Wpg-NK. Wind has been light, but now beginning to see a few gusts. Snow began around 11:00. #mbstorm
Will be venturing out into it in the next hour, or so, for a home #junior #hockey game. Glad we're at home and don't need to travel far.
@ecweatherchannel @forceh91 yep, we've had some light freezing drizzle this evening, and the increasing winds have shifted around to the northwest. It's been mild today, but will not last much longer. #mbstorm
Measurement showed 6 cm snow. For it being on the dryer side of things, a reasonable introduction to another winter season. #mbstorm
Today was the day winter arrived, at last.
Haven't measured the snowfall yet, as it's still coming down (and has with varying regularity since mid-morning) but I'd estimate around 6-7 cm of relatively dry snow has fallen. It's on the "lighter" side, at least. Thought this might arrive yesterday, but nope, today was it. #mbstorm
Aside from about six literal small snow flurries today, there has been no snow to speak of, here, as a result of the now passed #mbstorm.
It's below freezing now, and could remain that way for some time.
We're entering the darkest sixth of the year, here & now, in stark contrast to how it is in late May through late July. But, that's just how it is. #SeasonsChange
Had 38 mm of rain and drizzle, here, yesterday, with not a flake to be seen.
It's been too warm for anything frozen to fall, but not so today.
A few flurries are around now, however it's too early to say if we'll see much accumulation.
I ended up unclogging a catch basin on the street in front of our hockey arena last night -- using a broken hockey stick to do so. Seemed quite fitting plus a hockey stick actually worked quite well. Thought best to drain the street before it freezes up. #mbstorm
Weather altert for #Manitoba today
