OK, #rclone people. How do I add an additional directory to my copy command? In other words, adding Downloads to my Documents to copy to Google Drive. Got it working for Documents. Downloads is on the same directory level as Documents. Running #linuxmint 22.1 and rclone 1.69.1. TIA for any assistance you can offer!

Got #rclone working to back up to Google Drive yesterday. Tested it again today with changes. Awesome. Now on to set up a cron job. Loving #linux and #linuxmint. Such a relief to have my 2020 computer zipping along and not worrying about Windows10 sunsetting.
Yet another example of why you should ditch Windows entirely and switch to Mint, Debian, or Fedora.
People can glorify Windows all they want, but to me, Microsoft is the epitome of digital colonialism, exploiting and siphoning creativity purely for corporate greed.

This is too bizarre.
HP ProOne G4 400 All-in-one PC:
- Win 11 is 100% stable, even in stress test
- #LinuxMint and #Debian randomly reboot leaving *nothing* in logs or dmesg
- tried 3 different drives, internal and external, 3 clean installs, no difference
- Memtest is fine, board diag passes, drives checked for errors, fine
- Everything I can test passes
- various power management settings in BIOS, no dice
- no issues in Linux other than these random reboots
Any tips? I'm out of ideas

Looking for help from linux mint gurus - an update ate my disk!
I just allowed update manager to update ghostscript and now I'm getting a warning that I have 0 space left in my root file system.
My /bin directory seems to contain recursive X11 folders. I'm not sure how many because I'm worried about messing with it in case I cause more problems.
I'd appreciate simple suggestions about the best way to solve this. I'm ok with using synaptic and even the terminal (if I really have to). But if you're going to ask me to delete random file please explain why.
I've been using Linux for years but I don't consider myself an expert.
I'm running Linux mint 21.3 cinnamon on an AMD Athlon with a 500GB HDD.
The 20th of next month (April) will mark 1 year exactly since I made the switch from #Windows to #LinuxMint. Look forward to a detailed post on that day detailing my thoughts on #Linux as an #OperatingSystem.

Just installed Linux Mint on a late-2014 Mac Mini. The only customization I have done on the Mac is I added a more modern M.2 disk on it. Runs like a charm! No complaints so far.

By the way, it's the same with computer operating systems. Most people believe they have only two or three choices. That commercial software which is all geared towards mining users is the only one possible.
No, it isn't. There are dozens of free, community operating systems.
Many of them can be combined, their components are compatible.

I will try to hide my smugness at becoming a #Linux person again. Just put #LinuxMint on and it was crazy easy. Took less time than deactivating all the privacy and security problems on a fresh #windows10 install.
Linux is not just for computer people anymore. I urge you to try it. Just install alongside windows while you get used to it if you are worried. #fuckmicrosoft
The "Recent documents" applet of the Linux Mint Cinnamon desktop is a simple and humble feature that really helps. Having recent files just a couple of clicks away in the taskbar does make a difference.

Agora, estou querendo voltar a usar linux, mas o mint, em dual boot com o win.

Finally got @kiwix installed on #LinuxMint & spent a couple weeks downloading #Wikipedia & #Gutenberg via slomo torrent. Total of about 200gb all browsable offline!
I ended up using Mint's slightly older repository version bc the up to date #flatpak was a little too much for this older computer I'm using.
Pretty happy with it! Recommended.
I love that my Debian desktop and laptop doesn't bombard me with constant ads and tracking like Windows 10/11 does.
Sure, tools like Chris Titus's winutil can help debloat Windows, but for me, switching to Linux Mint is the way to go.
