At What Cost ?

Mines #Tailingsdams have a sinister beauty – the colours are extraordinary. They contain #toxicwaste materials, such as #toxicchemicals and #heavymetals, which harm birdlife and ground water.

It’s estimated that there are about 18,000 tailings dams around the world.
