@meganL yikes. We're experiencing a reversal on infrastructure here in #Boston, too. The Mayor seems to be mulling a cynical campaign pivot to meet her opponent's anti-bike bids to the #CarCentrism chuds. Lots of existing improvements under threat pending a "review" (poll, I'm sure) period

we had a lovely e-trike (Lectric) riding with #CriticalMass #Boston last week in some protest action to compliment some lobbying action to encourage the Mayor not to make a cynical campaign pivot to #CarCentrism to compete with her anti-bike opponent.

It was a pleasure to have #Trike representation in our mass. It left me thinking about how wonderful it is that we can move in different ways, but share the joy of riding, and stand as political allies. And about how that kind of solidarity isn't specific to bikes in a life well lived.

'Oh the person in front of me was doing under the speed limit so I got frustrated and then <insert a self-absolving description for driving recklessly>!'

If you lack the emotional regulation to drive safely under the mildest adversity, you're not a 'good driver who occasionally gets frustrated', you're a bad driver who frequently gets lucky.

I would go so far as to say 'shouldn't be driving at all', but I recognise a lot of places are impossible to live without a car.

Just saw a delivery van just driving around with a fully flat tyre (front left). They surely must feel it and they certainly must hear it.

Not sure if they're too oblivious to notice, just don't care, or are too pressed for time to stop, so instead are royally fucking up their car and the road.

Either way, these are the people we allow on our roads. Neither of the 3 is a good option for driving a multi tonne killing machine.

Yesterday I discovered the bollard from a major path entry to be missing again. I looked around to see if car-centrists had left it out for their convenience. Instead, I saw it tossed over a fence into a dry creek bed. I took a significant risk for myself to get it in the fading sunset light, hanging onto the fence for dear life. I managed to get it, toss it back over the fence, and reinstall it for safety.

We need non-removable bollards. @mastobikes @fedibikes
