RESOLVED

edit: I got it figured out, after a reboot I was able to systemctl start bluetooth and it came right up. Not sure if installing bluez helped or not

Any archlinux users can possibly help me out? Bluetooth not working on thinkpad t480s.

lspci shows
Intel Corporation Wireless 8265 / 8275 (rev 78)

and my wifi is working fine, maybe a kernel bug?

bluetoothctl runs but never connects to anything.

I installed bluez as suggested in the wiki but nada happens

BT won't turn on in the gnome settings either

I do see the kernel module loaded btmtk 32768 1 btusb

any help would be appreciated.

PC Neuinstallation.

#Arch #Archlinux

#FreeBSD #Linux #ArchLinux

I remember when I started messing around with Linux, it all seemed so hard and Arch Linux was the big bad bogeyman.

Now, years later, I use Arch Linux as my daily driver, and I am starting to learn FreeBSD. Curiously, I don't find FreeBSD to be as intimidating as Arch Linux seemed to be wayback then. However, it is a beast I want to tame. I am getting my ass kicked at every twist and turn. 🤣

@peppe thaks man... it feels good, as I'm on the suck train for a while now 😅

Since I've switched themes, LightDM stopped working, and I can't log in until I first log in on an other TTY in text mode... Apparently opening the #LightDM greeter settings app screwed everything up? Now I'm looking for an alternative, but nothing else seem to support a "switch user" type feature?

#justLinuxThings I guess...

smh

Continued thread

it was `.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini` which needs the line `gtk-theme-name=` to be set correctly.

Because even if I follow the Arch Wiki, the gsettings stuff for "gnome" doesn't affect the styles in the dwm.

On the other hand I don't remember ever having to set this up manually through a config file, I wonder what other app I used to set my theme previously? 🤔

Linux. I love it. 😂
