The road is being repaved in front of my home.
This frustrates me because the road never would have needed repaving if the gas pipes had not been replaced. The gas pipes run next to an all all electric neighborhood so with just an ounce of creativity, I bet we could have retired the fossil fuel gas infrastructure altogether.
Not only did Richmond residents pay for the cost to replace those gas pipes (which includes the cost of repaving), now we're also collectively paying to repave the road AGAIN. I wonder how many $ millions was sunk into this street in just the last year?
