An interesting riff on the Gin Basil Smash, it's refreshing yet has a touch of warming notes from the aquavit. Don't be scared off by the two full shots. This one is balanced nicely by the generous amounts of lemon and simple. I had Thai basil on hand when I took the photo and I thought it worked well in the cocktail, even though the spec calls for the Italian variety.
