Passend dazu ist der sie umgebende Kirchhof / Friedhof angelegt. Alleine das Verweilen an diesem Ort hat etwas charismatisches.

Dabei fiel mir das Grab eines Kindes auf, welches nicht einmal sechs Jahre alt werden durfte. Unser Jüngster ist in dem Alter und mag mir solches nicht vorstellen müssen. Sie befindet sich im nördlichen Norddfriesland und gilt als die älteste Kirche der gesamten Region. Wenngleich der Kirchturm erst 1967 hinzu kam. Die Kirche selbst liegt auf einer Warft, einer Erhöhung. Denn früher wurde das Land oft überflutet.
