MikeF<p>I stopped off at Bryant Park in NYC yesterday, hoping to see the American Woodcock reported there. I found the park densely crowded and noisy, and did encounter not one, but two Woodcocks, along with a few other birds. This Woodcock seemed uncomfortable and stressed-out. It was initially foraging in a far corner of the park under some sparse bushes, and then hunkered down, bill tucked into plumage, in an open spot on bare soil about 15 feet from its audience, which was about as far as it could get from people in this setting. <br><a href="https://birds.town/tags/nature" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nature</span></a> <a href="https://birds.town/tags/NaturePhotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NaturePhotography</span></a> <a href="https://birds.town/tags/birds" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>birds</span></a> <a href="https://birds.town/tags/Wildlife" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wildlife</span></a> <a href="https://birds.town/tags/birding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>birding</span></a> <a href="https://birds.town/tags/birdphotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>birdphotography</span></a> <a href="https://birds.town/tags/biodiversitycrisis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>biodiversitycrisis</span></a> <a href="https://birds.town/tags/biodiversity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>biodiversity</span></a></p>
