Ruben Verweij (Backup)On today's walk in the forest, we noticed a lot of hair ice. It's caused by specific fungi in dead wood, which produce water. If the conditions are just right, this water freezes, is pushed to the outside and you get these beautiful wooly, beard-like strands of ice around the branches.
