T_X<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://defcon.social/@torrentfreak" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>torrentfreak</span></a></span> all this left me wondering a lot. A lot of things seem to have changed in that regard in the last decade. Like <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/flattr" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>flattr</span></a> closed, too. <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Jamendo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Jamendo</span></a> seems to shift more and more away from its original <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/CreativeCommons" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CreativeCommons</span></a> / community focus. <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/VODO" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>VODO</span></a> closed already a while ago (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VODO" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VODO</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>). All these things which proposed innovative, new and promising alternatives to the classic <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/copyright" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>copyright</span></a> approach.</p><p>Instead things have shifted to content <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/streaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>streaming</span></a> silos owned by a few.</p>
