[journal de terrain, Longwy : jour 2] Les ouvrier•e•s des émaux de Longwy se sentent-ils encore appartenir à cet héritage ?<br>
La ville de Longwy a une histoire intimement liée avec celle de la sidérurgie. Ville des luttes ouvrières, ville de migration. Il ne reste aujourd’hui presque plus de trace de cette histoire.
En découvrant cette ville pour la première, en arpentant ses chemins, je me suis posée beaucoup de questions :
Que pensent ceux et celles qui tous les jours ont vu sur le dernier haut fourneau ? Quel héritage porte t-on d’une ville ? De son lieu d’habitation ? Pourquoi est-il impossible de s’approcher du haut-fourneau ? Les ouvrier•e•s des émaux de Longwy se sentiment-ils encore appartenir à cet héritage ? <br>
[Quelques informations sur notre projet] : de janvier à juin 2021 nous réaliserons avec Nabila Halim un travail photographie et sonore avec les habitant•e•s de Longwy et les 4e D du collège Vauban autour de la thématique de la migration. Cette belle aventure est possible grâce à l’association Caranusca et la ville de Longwy.

The city of Longwy has a history deeply intertwined with the steel industry. A city of workers’ struggles, a city of migration. Today, there are almost no traces left of this history.<br>
Discovering this city for the first time, walking through its streets, I found myself asking many questions:
What do those who have seen the last blast furnace every day think? What legacy do we carry from a city? From the place we live in? Why is it impossible to get close to the blast furnace? Do the workers of Longwy’s émaux industry still feel connected to this heritage?<br>

As you might recall, I've some GPO telephones hooked into an internal PBX. This all works fine.</p><p>However, I'm wondering if there's a better way of managing this. My primary concern is that in order to get different telephones in each room round the house, I'm going to have to run a s*it tonne of cables through the walls and elsewhere.</p><p>Is there a more, err, modern approach to this? I just want to be able to use these GPO telephones for internal room-to-room comms only, if that helps?</p><p>TIA for any guidance!</p>

En découvrant cette ville pour la première, en arpentant ses chemins, je me suis posée beaucoup de questions :
Que pensent ceux et celles qui tous les jours ont vu sur le dernier haut fourneau ? Quel héritage porte t-on d’une ville ? De son lieu d’habitation ? Pourquoi est-il impossible de s’approcher du haut-fourneau ? Les ouvrier•e•s des émaux de Longwy se sentiment-ils encore appartenir à cet héritage ? <br>
[Quelques informations sur notre projet] : de janvier à juin 2021 nous réaliserons avec Nabila Halim un travail photographie et sonore avec les habitant•e•s de Longwy et les 4e D du collège Vauban autour de la thématique de la migration. Cette belle aventure est possible grâce à l’association Caranusca et la ville de Longwy.

Discovering this city for the first time, walking through its streets, I found myself asking many questions:
What do those who have seen the last blast furnace every day think? What legacy do we carry from a city? From the place we live in? Why is it impossible to get close to the blast furnace? Do the workers of Longwy’s émaux industry still feel connected to this heritage?<br>
