I am irrationally gleeful today because I replaced a #Philips #Hue Bridge v2's power adapter with a USB-A-to-2.5mm-barrel cable.

Now I just plug in the USB-A cable to my new #Anker Prime Charger, 200W 6-Port #GaN Charging Station.

So, I've replaced 4 devices' power supplies with cables that plug into this sweet charging station. A Hue hub, my #Hubitat hub, and two 15w #Apple power supplies for my #HomePod minis.

Now awaiting the cables (USB-A-to-2.1mm-barrel) for my two Eufy Homebase 2's!! 🎉🍾

"Space Oddity" is a song by the English singer-songwriter #DavidBowie. It was first released on 11 July 1969 by #Philips and #MercuryRecords as a #7inchSingle, then as the opening track of his second studio album, David Bowie. Produced by #GusDudgeon and recorded at #TridentStudios in London, it is a tale about a fictional astronaut named #MajorTom; its title and subject matter were partly inspired by #2001ASpaceOdyssey (1968).

Reprehensible: How Lincare Cashed In on the Disastrous Recall of Philips Breathing Machines — at the Expense of Patients

TL:DR Lincare diverted thousands of machines to new customers which resulted in greater profits 🤬

As #Philips struggled to execute its recall in 2022, it turned to its biggest distributor, a company called #Lincare, to help ensure that replacement equipment would reach the patients who needed it most. But instead of sending those machines to vulnerable longtime users…Lincare diverted thousands of machines to new customers, which resulted in greater profits.

Perhaps for the first time in my late-middle-aged life, I've received a payout from a #classAction lawsuit that is actually for a substantial amount of money.
My #CPAP machine was part of the #Philips recall, so I ended up a class member in that lawsuit, and today I received a check for $168.24 in the mail.
(Fortunately I wasn't harmed by the defective CPAP machines because I had stopped using mine before it started to degrade. I hope the people who were harmed got a lot more money!)

Started playing around with #HomeAssistant and cheap #Zigbee sensors and smart powerplugs (and some #esphome, also got some #BLE #Bluetooth sensors I haven't unpacked yet).

It's been a steep learning curve but it's cool that most of the stuff just works (TP-Link #Kasa and #Tapo, #Ikea Zigbee, #Philips #Hue (using the Hue Bridge, not directly connected to my Zigbee coordinator). Some stuff this uses the cloud (but can be used locally), other stuff takes out the cloud entirely. (1/2)
