Cal Moody<p>Scene: It’s 40F and dark out, I’m going a few blocks over in the city to get takeout. I’m riding my onewheel, bundled up and wearing a full face helmet to keep the wind out. There’s a group of middle aged white guys walking in the middle of the road, and I pass them, nothing that unusual. But then, one calls out in a voice dripping with sarcasm: “Saving the environment??”</p><p>Ok buddy, let me take 10x as long to DRIVE over there through the city and also give up my prized street parking spot. The <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/onewheel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>onewheel</span></a> allows me to get the most out of those critical early morning hours; I can quickly zip around to several locations (and have fun along the way!) when I would likely only have time for one location by foot. It’s also possible to use the camera while riding, something I can’t do on a bike.</p><p>I spotted dozens of redwinged blackbirds among the reeds, and a bald eagle nest 🪹🦅</p>
