RDN<p>Neurons in the hippocampus (of mice, at least) encode memories of food, especially sugary and fatty food. Project Gutenberg<p>Italian physicist and neurophysiologist Carlo Matteucci was born <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/OTD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OTD</span></a> in 1811.</p><p>He conducted experiments to measure the electrical currents generated by muscle &amp; nerve tissues during contraction and stimulation. His work provided quantitative data on these electrical phenomena and confirmed that living tissues could generate electricity.
