James Riggs<p>Unless you have or care for a person with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MultipleSclerosis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MultipleSclerosis</span></a>, it's hard to explain how it feels. It's more than just walking; it causes pain, anger, depression, fear, and new issues daily.<br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MS</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Fatigue" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fatigue</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Pain" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Pain</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/BrainFog" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BrainFog</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/spasticity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>spasticity</span></a><br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/MSAwareness" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MSAwareness</span></a></p>
Time Isn’t Real Croosh<p>MS is highly prevalent in people in the <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/PNW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PNW</span></a> so even if you don’t think you know anyone with MS, you probably do. <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/MSAwareness" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MSAwareness</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/MultipleSclerosis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MultipleSclerosis</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/FuckMS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FuckMS</span></a> <br>4/4</p>
Time Isn’t Real Croosh<p>Today I get to talk to my neurologist about my MRI results, get whatever labs they assign and assess my current treatment. With two new lesions showing in my <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/MRI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MRI</span></a> I have no idea what to expect. <br><a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/MSAwareness" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MSAwareness</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/MultipleSclerosis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MultipleSclerosis</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/FuckMS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FuckMS</span></a><br>3/4</p>
Time Isn’t Real Croosh<p>This month marks nine years from the bout of optic neuritis that led to diagnosis. There is no cure for MS and every day of living with it is different. I’m lucky in that I currently go long periods of time without relapses. Not everyone is so lucky. And there’s no guarantee that my luck will hold. <br><a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/MultipleSclerosis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MultipleSclerosis</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/MSAwareness" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MSAwareness</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/FuckMS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FuckMS</span></a> <br>2/4</p>
Time Isn’t Real Croosh<p>March is <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/MultipleSclerosis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MultipleSclerosis</span></a> Awareness Month and boy am I aware right now. How many doctor’s office fish tanks have I sat in front of throughout my life? <br>MS is a neurological condition where your own immune system attacks the myelin sheaths that protect your nerves. It can manifest for folks in any number of ways. For me, it has presented itself as optic neuritis, vertigo that lasts for weeks on end, intense numbness and tingling and pain from my rib cage down and more. <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/MSAwareness" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MSAwareness</span></a> <a href="https://pnw.zone/tags/FuckMS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FuckMS</span></a> 1/4</p>
