Michaela Molthagen<p>Auch unter <a href="https://meerjungfrauengrotte.de/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> habe ich noch ein paar <a href="https://meerjungfrauengrotte.de/tags/Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Windows</span></a>-Programme, für die die es keine Linux-Alternative gibt (das wichtigste für mich ist die Bibel-Software MFchi aka ELBIWIN). </p><p>Dafür bietet sich <a href="https://meerjungfrauengrotte.de/tags/WinE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WinE</span></a> an, eine Art Windows-Emulstor. </p><p>Wer sogar noch DOS benutzen muss, findet mit <a href="https://meerjungfrauengrotte.de/tags/DosBox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DosBox</span></a> bzw. <a href="https://meerjungfrauengrotte.de/tags/DosBoxX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DosBoxX</span></a> eine entsprechende Basis, unter der sogar Windows 3.11 problemlos läuft.</p>
Paolo Amoroso<p>How can I check whether a wheel mouse is configured for 3-button operation in DOSBox-X? @Rp12Biker :verified:<p>Mission accomplished. Installed first version of <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Delphi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Delphi</span></a> from 1995 inside WfW 3.11 from the original install CD. In the moment I install the whole stuff inside <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/DosBoxX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DosBoxX</span></a> and transfer the hdd image to SD cards later. My trap: Don't use cpu with prefetch, comes to av while starting Delphi.<br>It's not really an OS, but it did have a significant impact on the look of many programs during this time. And some of them didn't change their look significantly over the years ;)<br><a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/RetroComputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RetroComputing</span></a> <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/Pascal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Pascal</span></a></p>
