In our town hall meeting this morning, an executive told us that they plan to give all software engineer jobs to Al.

When asked what he might have to say of any comfort to us, he said there are still lots of projects to be done in the meantime.

He ended the call by telling us he's uncomfortable with AI coding, knows that we're all uncomfortable with it, and that's exactly where he wants us to be.

"You said, 'Everybody in the whole world should get one.' They will. Because of you. They'll all be Kier's children." – Jame to Helly R. in the bathroom at the Lumon gala, believing he was speaking to Helena, S1:E9.

Not resurrection, or immortality, other than symbolically, but simple global domination in their image and for their own power and ego satisfaction.

Be Severed and never worry your pretty little head again.

"a system that is predicated on ever expanding growth"

I've said it before, many times; one day, I'm going to find out where this misconception comes from.

#Capitalism is not "predicated" on growth at all, "ever expanding" or otherwise. This is a claim peddled only by the ignorant or, worse, the liar.

Funny how capitalists claim that competition is essential to free market until they become a monopoly, then they claim that competition “will hurt European businesses and consumers, hinder innovation, weaken security, and degrade product quality” (as quoted by Google). Their hypocrisy makes me sick.

None of this is necessary. It's purely to create fear and intimidation. Plus, profit, companies are making a lot of money off terrorizing harmless people. There are many who think they're safe and always will be, but Chump and his cabal to make so this can be done to anyone if they want. It's revolting.

"Clearly, something is sabotaging society’s rational development. We should have those trains, and some big solar-powered apartment buildings near the stations. Even if I think the solutions are probably closer to agroecology than indoor vertical farming and giant sailboats than green jetliners, that doesn’t stop me from agreeing with the Abundance authors that there’s a block. But where Klein and Thompson blame self-seeking “groups” who—according to the work of economist Mancur Olson—are a constant and unavoidable threat to human collective action, Marxists understand capitalist production as riven by particular ironies and contradictions.

For example: capital is reluctant to enter industries that are easy to enter, for fear competition will drive out the profit. The abundant solution to a lack of housing is to make it easier for developers to build for increased density: the more units that come onto the market, the less landlords will be able to charge. But the same supply mechanism that pushes down prices discourages capital from the sector."
