I overcame my distaste and soldered the Pico directly to the PCB (I would so, so much rather socket this but I don't think there's room inside the cartridge case.</p><p>T minus 105 minutes, approximately.</p><p>Played a new <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/boardgame" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>boardgame</span></a> last night, called Project L, and was sent home with it (it was a second copy). So I guess I'll need to <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/3dprint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprint</span></a> an insert for that as well (oh, darn).</p><p>Now I just need some <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/coffee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>coffee</span></a> </p><p>Good morning!<br><a href="https://masto.ai/tags/today" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>today</span></a></p>

Sean<p>Got a shipment of cheap knockoff microcontrollers - and because they're cheap knockoffs, they actually have more capability in some aspects than the branded parent.</p><p>This one's going to become an <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/A8PicoCart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>A8PicoCart</span></a> for my <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/Atari800xl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Atari800xl</span></a> once the PCBs for it arrive. (In the meantime, I'm going to solder the pins on and 3d print a cartridge case, as the cart's designer was kind enough to include STL files for this)</p>
