Today I biked the 30-mile route of the Lifeline 100 Ride in Anne Arundel County. It ended up being 33.29 miles, in almost exactly 3 hours (plus 16 seconds!). Good weather for it, too -- comfortably warm and not too humid, especially as the day wore on. Sadly I didn't see any places to take a fun selfie.

I did have one technical problem: one of my bags came loose and a ripcord cable got caught in the rear gears, knocking off the chain and making it impossible to pedal. I trudged with my bike to the next rest stop when the mechanics got the cable out and reseated the chain. But it could have been much worse -- at least I didn't fall off and get injured.

@akuchling sounds like a good ride! Glad that the incident wasn't more serious
