Il Simone ViaggiatoreAndalusia, giorno 8: un vero e proprio giorno 8 non c'è, perché oggi si torna a casa. Casa che, con sempre maggiore convinzione, è molto in discussione per il futuro. In questo viaggio ho trovato una terra meravigliosa a cavallo tra Mediterraneo e Atlantico che, sebbene molto affollata, può essere un buon piano B per il mio futuro rispetto alle Canarie. Il Simone ViaggiatoreAndalusia, giorno 5: passato tutto il tempo all'insegna delle bellezze di Cadice e Puerto de Santa Maria. Cadice è una città incantevole, la classica città di mare sviluppatasi attorno ai commerci via nave, in questo caso con le americhe, sin dal primo momento in cui furono scoperte. Cadice è vivace e rumorosa, molto vissuta dai suoi a intanto e con un centro storico pieno di testimonianze artistiche del passato che fanno cascare la mascella, come la sua cattedrale con la criota, ad esempio. Le bellezze naturali non sono da meno visto che è costruita su un'isola collegata alla terraferma soltanto da un piccolo istmo. Una buona parte della città è costeggiata da una spiaggia enorme di sabbia fine e soffice; la tipica spiaggia atlantica insomma. La spiaggetta de la caletta non è da meno, con la sua passeggiata su un ponte di pietra, che ci dice al faro. Puerto de Santa Maria invece è una città piccola nei pressi di Cadice, ma importantissima sia oggi che nel passato: in tempi moderni perché ospita la terza "Plaza de Toros" più importante di Spagna, mentre passato era lulto punto in cui le navi in partenza per le americhe, a cominciare da quelle di Colombo in poi, facevano scorta di acqua potabile prima di salpare nel loro pericoloso viaggio, proprio dalla fontana di pietra nella foto in cui c'è anche la bandiera di spagna. Al ritorno portavano qui semi di piante sconosciute che venivano piantati in oaese per "provarli". Il Simone ViaggiatoreUno dei luoghi che amo di più a Tenerife: il paesello di Almaciga, in uno degli scenari più belli della zona dell'Anaga. Qui, oltre a questi tramonti spettacolari, si riesce ancora a godere di giornate con poca umanità, visto che la zona è abbastanza remota. Per il bagno, occorre fare qualche attenzione perché le spiagge della zona sono spesso popolate dalle caravelle portoghesi, "meduse" che causano punture molto dolorose. Il Simone ViaggiatoreUna casa ristrutturata nello stile tipico di questo posto, Pozo de Las Calcosas. Questo piccolo borgo si trova sull'isola di El Hierro, alle Canarie, la più remota dell'arcipelago e una delle più remote d'Europa. È costruito all'interno di una piccola baia creata dal crollo dell'enorme scogliera che la sovrasta, e naturalmente dall'erosione dell'oceano. Queste condizioni creano un piccolo mondo fatto di roccia lavica, dove gli abitanti, storicamente hanno potuto mimetizzarsi dalloamguardo di chi solcava i mari, forse anche dai pirati.
