Another rainy day inspiring the share of a storm from last year. This was one of the most insane experiences to sit near the edge of the cliff on the coast and watch this massive thunderstorm over the ocean and the coastline during the sunset hour. Will never forget this incredible experience!!

Lightning over Kanopolis.

This was captured beneath a particularly intense and at times nearly supercell thunderstorm that ranged across central Kansas on May 8, 2021. I set up two cameras, one on an intervalometer and the other with a lightning trigger.

This was actually the result of a timed exposure with the invervalometer engaged and speaks to the intensity of the lightning barrage that I was able to capture multiple bolts in a single 5 second exposure.

I was watching the storm from the safety of my car, with the proximity and frequency of the lightning strikes hitting a little too close for comfort!
