I have had three rabbits, five cats, two dogs , four parakeets, a parrot, turtles, fish, and a guinea pig. I’ve had to medicate several, including syringe feedings.
None come close to being as difficult as our Lola @LolaBeanTheBunnyQueen

@BookHoarder and I are exhausted and we still need help getting the feeding gunk in her. It’s the first time I’ve had to reach out for outside help to medicate an animal. She is the most challenging animal I have ever had to medicate and I am waving the white flag #pets #rabbits

Lola’s home but she won’t come out of her carrier. It’s like she doesn’t even realize she’s home. We’re leaving her in her area to come out on her own- if there are any suggestions, feel free to offer them #pets #rabbits

Update and advice needed- Lola probably coming home later today. The vet is unsure if she’ll get any benefit from staying there and she likely just needs to be home.
Question for rabbit owners- help needed. Any advice on syringe feeding a rabbit ? They said they’ll show us how to do this. She needs syringe feeding but also will have pain and motility meds as well . I have done this with cats and a dog, never a rabbit. Please- any tips? It's nice to see my rabbits not being bothered much with me cleaning their enclosure any more.

I always give them a chance to leave the enclosure and find a quieter place in the room. And of course, I don't start the vacuum cleaner too close to them, but slowly get closer if needed.

Look! We found a new friend for Bramble. His name is Benny and he is adorable, young, and curious about everything. They have been on daily bunny dates for a few days now, and things seem to be going very well. There haven’t been any signs of aggression. Bramble likes to watch Benny try to jump off the table.
