Guest Contribution by #Mohamed #Hussien: "In #Defense of #Weak #Dualism"

This guest post is by Mohamed Hussien, who contacted me to see if I could publish his #essay "In Defense of Weak Dualism" on my site. It is true that I am not one of the outspoken "defenders of #dualism", whether weak or strong. On the contrary, I am primarily interested in #overcoming the 2500 years old #misconception in the #philosophy of #mind.

Okay. I don't share a lot of my emotional stuff. But, I faced my heights fear...
Yesterday, I took my grandson to our local zoo with the intent to let him do the 2nd level rope challenge (there are 4, I think). He did the tot level last year. This year, he is over 48" tall. He wanted me to go, too (he was a tad nervous). 😬

My husband works at said zoo. So, he took a break and came over to watch us a bit.

We were up there an hour, maybe more. Little man wanted to go up one more level, so we did (for 10 minutes). My hands were getting sore from holding the tether. I had to tell myself not to grip it so tight. I had to remind myself to breathe a couple of times. Oh, and the grandson loved it.

Yesterday evening, my husband told our grandson, "I'm proud of you. But, you know who I'm really proud of?" And, he pointed at me. 😊
