We are in the "Oh Shit" severe #weather zone. #wx

Between 7pm and 5am (1am to 5am primarily for where I live) Wednesday night/Thursday morning we are supposed to get 7 to 9.8 inches of rain where I am sitting right now.

I hate mobility issues and night storms.

Tornadoes, damaging wind, large hail, high winds & flooding are likely.

Although I can see the Ohio River out my back window, it's very close, it would take "Biblical" flooding to reach us due to our elevation but flash floods from the mountain 600 feet above sea level higher than us over a few mile grade is our flood danger.

Our Enhanced Risk is level 3 of 5, and usually means there will be numerous severe thunderstorms and tornadoes, along with several intense storms.

The two greatest concerns are tornadoes and damaging wind gusts.

Each threat has us in the "hatched" area for both tornadoes and wind.

That wind comes up the #Ohio river between the two mountains like a Dyson vacuum tank and lets loose in our village

In regard to tornadoes, that means we have a greater probability of EF2 - EF5 tornadoes. For damaging winds, we have a greater probability of 75+ mph gusts.

There will be storms that probably will produce +one-inch hail.

East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio (EORH) abruptly shut down ancillary services less than 2 weeks ago by posting a notice on the doors after facing cash flow issues.

Later, more than 80 staff members went to the police department and filed police reports stating they had not been paid, insurance premiums and other paycheck deductions had not gone to the intended recipients, etc
