It was great fun.

At #Opicina station earlier today. An #ÖBB Class 1216 #E190 #Taurus in #nightjet livery has hauled #EuroCity #Emona up the ramp from #Trieste. A Slovenian #SŽ Class 342, nicknamed #Moped, takes over. It’s a short consist: three ÖBB open plan 2nd class carriages only. No 1st class and no bicycle van today.

#Honda will end production of 50cc bikes (mopeds), including the iconic #Cub .

Basically, they're being outcompeted by electric scooters and bicycles, and it's too difficult to make these small engines compliant with emissions rules.

I would be very surprised if they didn't keep the Cub brand and design around for a new electric bike in the future.
