演技『が』よかった suggests you think the acting was good. For example, maybe someone asked you, "what part of the movie did you like?"

演技『は』よかった suggests that you think the acting may have been good, but something else (maybe everything else) was not. For example, maybe you were asked, "what did you think of the movie?" and both of you know it was pretty terrible, but the acting was alright.

The latter is often called the comparative usage of は, and it's the reason you do not tell your host that you liked the XYZ dish by saying, 「XYZはおいしい」

Aaand the Leitner Box system is live! I'm applying it in the digital sphere, in Workflowy. Looking very positive so far as I've actually been reviewing my flashcards consistently, something I've been struggling with for the past year or so.

The manual aspect of this system is an important part of the process for me. Super cool bonus: Workflowy automatically emails my work to me, every day! Love how it's not trapped inside a proprietary app.

I've been learning Spanish, and tonight I hit kind of a mini-milestone. I typed out a whole-ass sentence en Español and then checked it against two different translation apps and my Spanish was SPOT ON. I'm pretty proud of this!

I want to improve my #German skills at some point. TV shows and movies motivate me a lot. So does anyone have any #recommendations of decent shows, movies or YouTubers to watch?

I'm also open to more TV shows, movies and podcasts in #Spanish too since I'm at a stage where I don't have to look up as many words as I used to and it's really really enjoyable to be at the stage where I can just enjoy things.

( I'm open to all genres except for excessive or realistic gore. Cartoon-y gore is fine e.g. Invincible on Amazon Prime. )
