MAERSK: HALT ALL F-35 SHIPMENTS!

🗓️ APRIL 10
⏰ 11 am
📍7724 Hampton Blvd. Norfolk, VA

We can now reveal that Maersk is directly shipping F-35 parts from the Lockheed Martin-operated US Air Force Plant 4 in Fort Worth, Texas to Nevatim Air Base in occupied Palestine. These components that Maersk is shipping leave Texas bound directly for the IOF airbase, where they directly aid in the construction, repair and arming of the Occupation Forces’ air vessel fleet. These fighter jets are a primary instrument of death in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

The Maersk Detroit, a vessel carrying parts of these fighter jets, will dock at the port of Norfolk, Virginia on April 10th before continuing on to the port of Elizabeth, New Jersey on April 12th. From there, the weapons will go on to Morocco, before reaching Haifa, where they will be turned against Palestinians and used to carry out fresh mass killings in Israel’s ongoing genocide of Gaza.

As Trump and Netanyahu meet in DC this week and discuss how best to continue the genocide, the people refuse to sit idly by as this machinery is produced and packaged out from underneath us. We must stand up to Maersk’s covert facilitation of this genocide, and refuse to allow these shipments to continue without cost or consequence.

Maersk has tried, for 18 months, to conceal its role in the slaughter of Palestinians, but with time the extent of their complicity continues to be only further unveiled. It is our responsibility to make Maersk’s relationship with the Zionist entity untenable, and to show Maersk that doing business with a pariah state is a liability they cannot afford.

Take action now! Get to Norfolk on Thursday. We’ll see you there!

On Saturday, April 5th at 11am, there will be a rally at Town Point Park with a clear message: Hands off!
Allies and activists in Hampton Roads and are JOINING FORCES to say “hands off” our freedoms and liberties.

This is a rally, not a march so bring signs, chairs/blankets, bottled water, and get ready to listen to the speakers that the hosts have lined up for us!

*** A core principle behind all Hands Off! events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. ***

(Check out handsoff2025.com or COVAcoalition.org for more information.)

***

(TO AVOID CRUISE SHIP TRAFFIC, enter Waterside Drive from 264 W or St. Paul’s Blvd. Try to avoid Boush Street end of Waterside Drive. We have enough to be angry about; traffic doesn’t need to be one of them!)
