Gemütlich am Handy daddeln, sich unterhalten oder am Laptop arbeiten, während der Chauffeur mit 300 km/h Richtung Ziel drauf hält und Getränke+Speisen an den Platz gebracht werden 🥰 Bahn fahren macht schon richtig Spaß, wenn alles rund läuft! Wie ätzend wären solche Langstrecken mit dem Auto🤢

Züge pünktlich, wie immer super nettes und hilfsbereites Personal und funktionierende Technik. So muss Bahn sein!

Danke an dieser Stelle an die vielen Menschen, die trotz aller Probleme versuchen den Laden am Laufen zu halten.

Ich habe mich die ganze Zeit gewundert, dass in der #Eurostar app kein Gleis angegeben wird. Gerade stelle ich fest: das liegt daran, dass das hier hoch digital und dynamisch läuft. Ich kann also Wochen vorher den Zug in der #deutscheBahn App raussuchen und sehen, an welchem Gleis ich abfahre/ ankomme... Aber in Paris erfährt man das vor Ort, kurz vor Abfahrt. Und nun denke ich: unglaublich, dass wir das schon so eintakten. Aber kein Wunder bei Stellwerken von 1892.... #reisenMitDerDeutschenBahn

One of the great mysteries about Deutsche Bahn for me: What decides whether online ordering is enabled for the onboard restaurant? Just today, I could order to my seat online in the first ICE, but cannot in the one I'm currently sitting in. I've never been able to figure out when they enable/disable online ordering.

Does anyone know? Is this just a technical thing, where the online ordering system is just broken quite often?

So unto the next alternative: Taking my original, 40 minutes late ICE but don't get out in Dortmund. Instead, stay until Düsseldorf. From there I can then board a train to my ultimate destination. There's currently a very comfortable 52 minute stay in Düsseldorf. Let's see whether that's enough.

Total lateness at the destination will be one hour. Let's hope it stays at that.

To add a bit more detail to my previous outburst: My first train over to Dortmund is late. Late enough to eat my 25 minutes of layover. But there's another train, which is already over an hour late, but seems right in time to make my original train in Dortmund.

But, with the unstoppable advance of time, that train got later and later as well, until it arrived at exactly the same time my original train would leave Dortmund.
